Following are the elements of vision we brainstormed at the last ILF.
I. The Highest Priorities
- All member counties measure the same things the same way - Outcome
measures
- Heavy emphasis on the development and integration of Quality Improvement methods
and tools
- Integrate Independent Living into our model
- Finally agree on a workable, measurable definition of Safety
- Maintain the ILF and our new website
- Become experts on the initiative
II. Other Ideas
A. Continue Developing the model
- Emphasis on organization development piece - context, focus, leadership

- Develop/integrate genogram/ecomap software
- Standardized practice approach with agreement on elements and measures
- Develop core service elements
- Data/proof that some services do work better than others and those ought
to be standardized
- Support research into new elements of the model, new approaches - evolve
the model to fit real world
- prevention and community partnership
- Capacity to generate outcome measures quickly and easily
- Get a new name - this is not your father's CLA
B. Develop and integrate training
- Get our stuff integrated into the training program - Stronger link - link with
the rtc
- Impact Core Curriculum - especially for supervisor
- Influence curriculum development
- Car mechanic analogy - need to see the big picture of a car and its
systems before training on any one system like electric can really help you
fix the car
C. Spread the word
- Present at National Conference or PCSAO
- Bring in additional counties - use mentors
- Evangelization
